Hailey Haynes – Principal
Welcome to Meadow Wood! I am so excited that you are here with me and we are on this journey together. I am honored to be a part of such a fantastic community, where school and home are so closely connected. Parental involvement and support, community events and outreach, and students eager to excel all make Meadow Wood an amazing place to learn and grow! The 2017-2018 school year is going to be one to remember…great things are happening here!
I was born and raised near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which is why I love LSU Tigers, anything spicy, and to “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!” My husband and I met in high school and then went to college together at Southeastern Louisiana University. While at Southeastern, I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. After my husband and I got married, we moved to Arizona for about 3 years. In 2009 we moved to Texas and love being closer to home. In 2010, I decided to go back to school and earned my second Masters degree from Concordia University in Educational Administration. I have never been more pleased with a decision than when I decided to get into administration. I absolutely love what I do! I get to love, teach, and serve students, teachers, and families every day!
Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. As mentioned, I am happily married and have two children. My daughter, Riley Rae, was born in Surprise, Arizona in 2009. She is a natural born leader and loves to help others. My son, Brock Dean, was born in Houston, Texas in 2012. He is quite the character and can make anyone smile. We all enjoy sports, camping, music, food, and fun. We are pretty busy between Riley playing soccer and Brock playing baseball. I love to read, run, and relax.
I am very fortunate to have a great career in which I love, a family that I would do anything for, and a new community to embrace!
