Meadow Wood Elementary is in great need of a new playground, and we would sincerely appreciate your support. We are blessed with beautiful, tree-filled green spaces; but unfortunately, the play equipment is old, failing, and unsafe.
SBISD has been extremely supportive in planning phases; however, the bulk of the Master Plan’s $1.6 million price tag for equipment, safety surface, and infrastructure falls to our PTA and its supporters.
Our playground committee has been diligent in researching and working closely with the district for well over a year to come up with a Master Plan. Our Phase I fundraising goal is $350,000. This will provide a state of the art, large play structure, including the proper drainage, safety surface and infrastructure. It is crucial that we meet this goal by our December 31st deadline to allow time for permitting and work to begin summer 2019.
Through the Spring Branch Education Foundation, 100% of your donation will be directed to the MWE Playground and is tax deductible. Checks can be made payable to SBEF (Spring Branch Education Foundation) with MWE Playground in the Memo line and deliver to Meadow Wood…or even easier, click here to donate online and select “Meadow Wood Elementary Playground”:
